About Us

WE BELIEVE Cycling can be a catalyst for realizing a new level of CONFIDENCE and PASSION FOR Lifelong learning in the outdoors.

We’re on a mission to empower the next generation of riders (12-17 y/o), or as we like to call them #futureshred, to realize they’re better than they think they are and can do more than they think they can. They just need a little sound technical advice and help getting to where the riding gets good. We are here to provide #futureshred technical insight and guidance in reaching new levels of skill and confidence on and off the bike.

TRAINED

WILDERNESS MEDICINE CERTIFIED

Fun is a top priority of DrtPdlrs but managing the inherent risks associated with mountain biking, like all outdoor pursuits, is the first thing we think about. Our lead guides/instructors are certified Wilderness First Responders, in addition to CDC Concussion Protocol and SafeSport certifications. We believe these protocols can keep us rollin’ sound and secure.

PMBIA and/or BICP CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS/GUIDES

What sets us apart beyond our technical skill is that we are guided by proven methodologies that are easy to understand, explain and demonstrate. Certifications from Bicycle Instructor Certification Program ( BICP - IMBA’s associated program) and Professional Mountain Bike Instructors Association (PMBIA - Whistler’s associated instruction program) means we are able to set our riders up for the greatest amount of success. We believe in these methodologies not only because we’ve seen them work with our riders, but also because they have helped improve our riding too. Success equals fun, and when you’re having fun you’re sure to have next level shred sessions.

STOKED

Our goal is to produce riders that at some point become better than us. It really should be the goal of any instructor and it’s how we know we are succeeding in our mission. What that also means is we need to be able to keep our skills sharp and continue to push ourselves outside our own comfort zone in the name of the #futureshred progression. We believe you can’t fully instruct certain techniques if you haven’t been there before yourself. Understanding where riders are coming from mentally and emotionally allows us to support them as they work through new challenges, setting them up for the greatest amount of success with guides who’ve been there, done that.
